WHY ACADEMY EXISTS
to fill the void that exists in meaningful youth lacrosse development.
All your training needs under one roof, built on an age-based curriculum — plus the off- field guidance you and your kid need to actually grow and navigate the sport. Year-Round, Accessible, and Rooted in Intention
We understand the development process deeply and give families real guidance every step of the way. No more guessing what to do, where to spend, how to make the most of this sport.
We've lived what works and what doesn't from the ground up, to the highest levels of play, including college, pro, and worldwide.
We are genuinely curious and humble, and continue to learn from parents and players in our coaching careers about what they actually need to grow
Now, we're delivering all of it directly to parents, in a community lacrosse has never had before, under one roof.

Lax Lab Academy National is a unique opportunity to be coached by Lax Lab in a competitive tournament environment. Unlike traditional teams, we aren’t here to take players who just want to play. Playing games is just a piece of the development process, and we will take select players to events. to continue building on that as they grow on and off the field.
Details
Premier Coaching by the Best in the Game. Our Lax Lab staff comprises some of the smartest, most respected people in the sport. We are here to transfer our knowledge directly to you and unlock new levels through coaching you in a live competitive environment.
Supportive and Challenging Team. We hold players to the highest standards, but are clear on what it takes to meet them and clearly provide the pathway to do that.
Development First, Winning Second. Our staff does not elect to travel and coach players for the sake of just playing games. This is rooted in your development. Winning is a byproduct of strong culture, standards, and development. If you are not developing, then this isn’t the team for you.
Team First. We prioritize the team over everything else. No one’s role is more important than the next player’s. The ground ball, the cut, the goal, the save — it all matters to us deeply and the same, and we make sure our players know that. Focus on development and team, and you will find your individual success as a byproduct of that.
How do I join?
Players are selected from a pool of players including Academy, Weekly training, and our national training roster. Due to rotating schedules, we work to give all of our qualifying athletes as many opportunities as possible while being fair and supportive. Players can expect 3-4 tournaments per year from 5th-8th grade, and costs to be discounted for Academy members.

THE Pillars
-
Our focus is on the bigger picture, prioritizing long-term development over short-term gratification. We are developing habits and understanding that will yield success down the road, when the stakes are highest. Trust the process and stay the course.
-
Trust requires radical honesty and unwavering execution. Our promise is to bring the same elite energy every time we step on the field, balanced with the truthful feedback and tailored guidance our players need to grow. We build enduring trust by going the extra mile, proactively.
-
The Academy is a year-round relationship, not a seasonal transaction. This is real culture rooted in real care. When you're with us, you're family. Because we center that relationship, parents can trust our intentions and our roadmap completely. Everything we do is highly intentional, from the way we train to introducing the right playing opportunities at the right time.
-
Experience is our formula. We are confident in our understanding of the development process because we have lived it, both as players and coaches. On the field, we are organized with our agenda, thoughtful in our communication, engaging with our athletes, and supportive every step of the way. Off the field, we are clear with our communication, honest with our opinions, inclusive in our culture, and supportive every step of the way.
Professional care is the standard we hold for ourselves, and it is the standard we vow to deliver.

HOW THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM traditional weekly GROUP TRAINING
ACADEMY VS. weeklyGROUP TRAINING
Lax Lab was built on private lessons, small group, and weekly group training. We still hold all of these, but Academy is a year-round opportunity that allows us to connect more deeply with our families, and provide a more structured curriculum.
Academy develops under one roof, with a consistent professional staff and curriculum, with off-THE-field growth and guidance.
